Taittinger Brut La Francaise Champagne
The Champagne is a blend of some 30 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards, respectively 40% and 60% of the total, from several harvests of perfectly ripened grapes. Pressed in the vineyard after the manual harvest. After resting until the end of winter, the wine is blended and then undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle in Taittinger’s cool cellars. The aging of Brut La Francaise for almost 4 years more then required. The extra time allows the wine to reach the peak of aromatic maturity, and a delicate balance known for its consistency and excellent quality.
This wine has a subtle, pale gold color with fine, persistent bubbles. It is delicate, with aromas of peach, white flowers, vanilla pod, and brioche on the nose and flavors of fresh fruit and honey on the palate. Excellent as an apertif or with foods such as seafood and white meat.
